EPDM Roofing Association Announces Nine Standout Projects as Best in EPDM Roofing Award Winners

Washington, D.C.  August 20, 2026 – The EPDM Roofing Association (ERA) today announced the winners of its inaugural Best in EPDM Roofing 2026 Awards, recognizing nine standout EPDM roofing projects from across the United States. 

Launched in 2026, the Best in EPDM Roofing Awards invited roofing professionals to submit projects demonstrating the versatility and long-term performance of EPDM roofing systems across a range of building types. The winning projects represent installations dating from 1991 through 2026 and showcase EPDM applications across schools, offices, industrial facilities, and architecturally complex buildings. 2026 Best in EPDM Roofing Award Winners 

  • Outstanding Longevity: Roofing Technical Services for IGE – Building 6, featuring a 45-mil EPDM membrane originally installed in 1993 that continues to provide reliable protection more than 30 years later. 
  • Outstanding Roof Installed Within the Past Three Years: Herzog Roofing for Alerus Center, a nearly 300,000-square-foot football and events venue that underwent a complex roof replacement across 20 roof sections utilizing a fully adhered 90-mil EPDM roofing system. 
  • Unique Application: Lakeside Roofing Co., Inc. for Chapel of the Risen Christ, an 8,000-square-foot church featuring sweeping curves that required precise membrane layout, flashing and adhesion techniques. 
  • Newest Installation: Schools: Lincoln High School in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, where 47,500 square feet of 60-mil adhered EPDM roofing was installed across nine roofs in 2025. 
  • Oldest Installation: Schools: CSL West for Ponderosa Elementary School, where a 45-mil ballasted EPDM system installed in 1991 continues to provide dependable service approximately 35 years later. 
  • Unique Application: Industrial/Warehouse: HJ Cannon Group for Navy Foundry and Propeller Center, a U.S. Navy facility where a new 90-mil EPDM membrane was installed following removal of the existing gravel-surfaced built-up roof. 
  • Best Overall: Office: Arrow Roofing and Supply Inc. for Forge 85, a complex project featuring a fully adhered 60-mil EPDM membrane installed over two layers of polyisocyanurate insulation without mechanically penetrating the building’s wood deck. 
  • Newest Installation: Industrial/Warehouse: MJ Dalsin Storage Facility, a 36,000-square-foot facility featuring three layers of polyisocyanurate insulation and a fully adhered 60-mil non-reinforced EPDM membrane. 
  • Newest Installation: Office: RCH Roofing Corp. for Dell Technologies, a 270,000-square-foot roofing project that replaced an existing EPDM system with a high-performance assembly designed for long-term durability and future solar integration.
