Once again this year, ERA is proud to be a sponsor of NRCA’s Roofing Day in DC, to be held, in person, on April 5-6. If you have participated in the past, you know that this is a terrific opportunity to climb Capitol Hill and meet one-on-one with the folks who make or shape the laws that impact our industry.
Attendees at Roofing Day are provided with everything needed to make an impact with influential members of Congress or key staffers. This will include detailed key messages to help guide your conversations, focusing this year on workforce funding and innovation to address supply chain challenges and worker shortages through:
- immigration reform, and
- investment in and reform of career and technical education.
Participants will be teamed with other roofing industry representatives from your State or Congressional District. The skilled NRCA events staff makes all of the appointments, trouble shoots during the course of the day, and provides all of the support worked needed to ensure that the voice of the roofing industry is heard.
Take a look at NRCA’s website (https://www.nrca.net/advocacy/roofingday) to get all the details about Roofing Day. You’ll find a tentative itinerary, tips to manage a successful meeting on Capitol Hill and a place to book hotel reservations.
Most important, you’ll find a link to NRCA’s Communication Kit that will help you promote this important event, and tailor it, as needed to your company’s outreach materials. Please spread the word and encourage your colleagues to attend. ERA believes strongly in this valuable effort, and we hope you can join us along with the scores of other roofing professionals who are coming to Washington to give first-person testimony about the needs of the roofing industry and the people who work in it.
