Buildings as a Solution to Urban Heat, hosted by the White House Council on Environmental Quality

Jared Blum, Washington Counsel for ERA, has been invited to participate in an event on August 5th entitled Buildings as a Solution to Urban Heat, hosted by The White House Council on Environmental Quality. As described in the meeting invitation, local, state, and national officials, industry representatives, community leaders, civil society representatives and others will participate in the meeting which will emphasize the importance of tackling extreme heat and the wide-ranging benefits that can accrue to our communities and economy by doing so.

The meeting will also showcase examples of local action to build heat resilience, share the federal government’s current role in supporting further action, and will highlight building retrofit and complementary strategies for urban heat mitigation.
